Tick Tock Around The Clock Daycare is licensed by department of health. We are CPR and First Aide certified. We provide excellent care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old . We strive to create an environment that offers quality learning experiences for our children, as well as a fun place to play.

Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Tashieanna Smith and I am the owner and director of the newly registered tick tack the Clock daycare in the Waterbury. As a working parent I struggled to find quality and affordable childcare. Therefore, I decided to take my education and experience working with children and do something to help the working parents in the community.

Our services include a creative curriculum for the different age groups. The children will be separated by age and their weekly schedule will vary with different activities all geared towards learning. Our daycare's main focus is Education. Education is the key to our children's future. The services will be provided in a private home that is a clean, safe and smoke free environment. The home has been childproof and there is an alarm system, smoke & carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers. In the home the children will have there own designated areas including there own bathroom and backyard for play during spring and summer months.

Our educational program is based on sound principles of child development. Our goals are to give children a sense of self worth by helping them develop at their own individual pace while learning basic skills. We want the children to feel confident and secure enough to explore and grow in a stimulating educational and social environment.

Children participate in a variety of individual and group activities designed to develop language and reading readiness skills enhancing physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth, skills and attitudes which will increase their ability to succeed in school.

Through play, children learn about themselves, their environment, people, and the world around them. As they play, children learn to solve problems and to get along with others. They enhance their creativity and develop leadership skills and healthy personalities. Play develops skills children need to learn to read and write. Play in early childhood is the best foundation for success in school.

From the time your child wakes up until the time he or she goes to sleep at night, there are countless opportunities for learning and growing. Our caring, observant, responsive staff is trained to stay constantly involved in every aspect of your child's day so they can help facilitate "teachable moments."
